Our week:

This week has been a very exciting one for us here at Action Invest. We have just started works on our Wigan project. We’re expecting it to take around three months from start to finish. We have had to knock down and put up partition walls to make room for new bedrooms and en-suites.

Our Biggest Learning Experiences This Week:

The biggest learning experiences we’ve had this week is its absolutely essential to have a thriving network. With our Wigan project, we are going to have to call on some tradesmen to do some of the works. We are fortunate enough to know people in that field which allows us to get things done easier and quicker. If we didn’t have these people in our network, it would take a long time to search through websites trying to find these specialists and with there being backlogs for development projects, we would probably have to wait considerably longer for them to fit us into their schedule. Having that network available to us eliminates these headaches.

Value of UK housing rose by £1m per minute in 2021

The average equity release customer drew the equivalent of more than seven years of retirement income from their home in 2021, with UK property wealth reaching a record £5.2 trillion by the end of last year.

Mo’s Top Tip:

Average rents hit record high of £1078

I must admit, this is inclusive of London. If we exclude London, the data shows average UK rents now stand at £910.

This honestly doesn’t surprise me. Rents are going absolutely mental at the moment, which can never be a bad thing for landlords. We are seeing areas that would normally be £500-525 PCM stretch to near £600 PCM. This is an additional £900 in income per annum and this is why it is important to get into property as soon as you can.
